I wanted to get a water bottle for my long runs where I didn’t have to carry it, wear a band around my waist, or even have a running vest on. This was a perfect solution! It’s small and compact and you barely know you have it on.

Seriously love this water bottle. Yes, it is small, but it has been the perfect amount of water for me on my evening walk. I wouldn’t take it on a major hike or anything, but this is absolutely perfect for walks in the park and around town. I used to not even take water with me because I didn’t want to carry a water bottle around, but this is light weight and clasps on very easily. I honestly don’t even feel it. I should have bought one a long time ago, it’s perfect little water bottle and has really become a life changer. I always take it with me now!

I did a 2 mile walk on the sand yesterday and this product was amazing. I have always used over the shoulder, waist belt, and fanny pack products that held water bottles and they were always too uncomfortable and wobbly while I walked or ran. This pouch was very stable and held the bottle close to the body. It was easy to grab the bottle out of the pouch, drink and put back. I used both the 7 oz.bottle on the sand and then the 10 oz. bottle on an asphalt bike path on another 3 mile walk and run. It was comfortable wearing on the waist of my running shorts that were nylon. It was very secure held with very strong magnets and I also had my license and money in it. Great product and I totally recommend it!

Great little gadget, I attach to the back of my running leggings, sits nicely and no jiggling. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve been using Running Buddy pouches (regular and XL 6″) for several years. I love the way they fit (I wear them in the front) on those below-the-waist shorts/pants/jeans. Even if I have pockets, I put my phone (Nexus 5-now 5X) into the front mesh and carry credit cards, drivers’ license, etc in the back pocket. Even though I do use a money belt when traveling in cities infamous for their pickpockets, I find the Running Buddy to be nearly equally secure and lots more accessible. However, I’d found that I needed something a little smaller to carry a power bank for my phone. I’d tried a larger pouch from another company, and, though the size was good, it simply didn’t stay on. So, I ordered a twin set of these directly from the Running Buddy site (a great bargain, IMO) to see if the pouch would work. It does! I also use it to hang my “timepiece” when I’m not wearing a watch. My Ford CMax Energi key fob fits into the pouch, also. When I don’t need one to store other items, I find the water bottles to be great. Each came with both sizes so I can load up when trekking for longer distances without carrying a back pack.
Runny Buddy pouches have freed me from purse carrying. Even though I use a Multi-Sac brand which wears like a back pack, it still gets to be hot and heavy.

As long as your clothes are close fitting.

I had issues at the beginning with it. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it would flop all over (basically useless like that). I then realized that even though I thought I was folding the pouch evenly over my shorts, it became obvious that I wasn’t, which means the magnets were not aligned between both sides. Once I aligned them properly, it didn’t go anywhere and has been great since. A few more comments:
1. Spout not big enough for ice cubes. At first I was breaking up ice cubes in a ziploc bag with a meat tenderizer and funneled the pieces in. Then I decided to just fill the water bottle up and put it in the freezer the night before. This worked out great. Super cold water for the hot South Florida summers.
2. I wear the pouch in back over the right side of my glutes. I find it bounces the least back there and doesn’t pull down my pants at all. Still easy to reach.
3. I’ll say it again, make sure you fold over the pouch right at the middle over the waistband of your shorts/pants. That’s the only way the magnets will align properly and be at full holding strength.

This is a neat idea and on the right waistband it’s great – the magnets are strong (as long as they’re properly aligned), no chafing, and the pouch doubles as a fuel pouch if you take out the water bottle. First 18-mile long run I used it for, it was a rockstar. That said, I tried it a second time, with different shorts. The waistband on the second pair of shorts wasn’t as tight, and despite having the same contents as the prior run (2 gels and some salt tabs), the pouch bounced. Really bounced. Maddenningly bounced. I lasted about 2 miles before I chose to carry it by hand for the rest of the run which pretty much defeated the purpose.
So take from this what you will. If your shorts are tight, you may love this. If not, well, it’s inexpensive enough so that you might as well try it since the loss will be minimal if you end up disappointed.

I use this H20 buddy pouch along with the phone buddy pouch for my trail runs and hikes. In hot weather, I fill the bottle 3/4 full of water then freeze it. I fill the remainder with water when I am ready for my run. Perfect for when it’s hot out…keeps the water cold. Works great as long as I have shorts that tie to be sure they don’t get weighed down. Perfect amount of water for the 2.5 mile run/hike.

Bounce a little bit when full, but probably more of an issue that my flip-belt is too loose or not tight enough to support two of these. They work great. The magnet is strong and I have no concerns that it will fall. The mouthpiece is a soft rubber, so you can grab a sip while running and not bang your teeth with hard plastic. This is by far one of its most outstanding features. Easy to slide right back into its sheath. I wore two at the same time and put them to the front at about 45 degreees. I couldn’t put them to the side because my arm kept bumping them. I tried both in the back, but were harder to reach and I felt distributing the weight worked better than putting them near each other. I would absolutely recommend these and buy them again if needed.
