The Nitecore HC60 headlamp is a professional grade headlamp. This thing is so bright it’s pretty nuts actually. I’m very happy with medium setting (3 clicks) but the higher settings are even brighter. I use this for working on cars, night clam digs and general lighting for low light conditions. I’ve had quite a few consumer grade headlamps ranging in the $25-$50 range. They always seem to break and they tend to eat AAA batteries pretty quickly. The included Lithium 18650 batteries are high performance cells and I love the fact that they are a nice size for the unit as well. If you’re tired of messing around with consumer grade junk, step up to this headlamp. You will be happy you spent a few extra bucks because the value is excellent with this well engineered light.

HC60 – Absolutely fantastic little guy! By now i have one for nearly 4 years and zero complaints (with the original battery!), even though after this many charges/plug-ins the socket got slightly looser fitting (as you’d expect) but not creating any issues charging still. I do a wide variety of construction and in constant need of boosting the brightness in front of me. Before getting this one I went through multiple plastic-bodied headlights to find them very short lived. For a very small increase in price I realized I can do better and after finding this one…- it’s like getting a present every day! Suffice to say: i get a LOT of use of this headlight at work on a daily basis including “overtime” for weekend home projects. And i mean a FULL work day of nearly constant on at times. It has seen countless attics, crawlspaces, dim lit houses or simply an inside of an electric box in need of just a bit more light “to be sure”.
Bottom lining those years: headlight itself is very lightweight, super durable and the battery is even better. Between trying to prolong daily battery life and simply not needing anything brighter I rarely used it higher than mid settings and afterwards it’s been always plugged in my truck between uses. Finally just now it’s started giving me less than a day of work and since it’s seemingly not possible to get battery replacement as good I’m fully fine getting another one of these lights (that comes with an extra battery) ending up with an extra light as a spare or for the family use. Good product Nitecore!

I have used many different lights in the as an inspector. I work on bridges and often at night as a coatings inspector. So a good light is very important. I have been using the Nightcore HC60 for awhile now it is the best light I have ever had. It is light, very well made and has a range of light intensities that go from very low to too bright. I mostly use the middle of five settings for inspection. I care a second battery but have never had to use it. In fact I have never used more than a forth of a charge in a week of use. A great light I’ll have this light for years.

I am convinced this extremely awesome and well made headlamp is made with alien technology! The brightness emitted is nearly like a weapon and will impress everyone you show it to!
The headband is very comfortable, easy to adjust the beam up for down and it is fairly lightweight. It is easy to adjust the different settings and user friendly. I use it several times a week and it is extremely well made, and battery life is impressive!! Also you can charge it directly with a micro USB.. Doesn’t get better than that!

This light is awesome ! It stays on level 3 for up to 6 hrs. The 3400 mah battery lasts a long time. I purchased another battery at the same time as the light. The battery charges in about 4 hrs.
The only drawback to the light, is it could have a little more padding on the light where it sits on the forehead. I wear a welding cap and it does help. I am a truck technician and it leaves my hands free to work. I have had coolant, trans fluid splash onto the lite with no problems.
The light is lite weight and comfortable.
I would recommend to any technician out there to use it.

Great headlamp , I’ve bought around 5 throughout my career, however the plastic housing that hold the lamp , is no good , it breaks easily and they don’t sell it on their website . I have 3-4 lamps laying around due to this issue , but ilumination and battery life is great .

Nitecore strikes again! Simple durable quality product with 2 kick-a** Nitecore batteries that you decide how to recharge with battery in headlamp (micro-USB, micro wall, micro car) or stand-alone battery chargers for out of lamp charging. Provides extreme flexibility with “I might need this to save my life” dependability. Takes a charge really well from my Anker portable power bank(s). Range and power settings are easily adjusted w one finger. VERY strong lumen power on highest setting – but beware it will drain even these batteries. Use medium or low settings around camp and you will be scratching your head at how long this light will go between charging. It’s IPX rating is completely legit. Threw mine in the pool (probably an IPX 10 test) – as I do with all my critical gear and it passed all tests. Good bye Maglite – though I still love you.

This should have been my first headlamp, not my 5th or 6th. I love each of my nitecore products they are all top of the line. The different setting are great. The lowest setting is great if you need just enough light to see what’s in front of you and the highest setting is incredibly bright. There are a few settings between the two I mentioned that will offer you the right amount of light for any occasion.
