Great headlamp. I am going to buy another.

  2. Anna C.

AAAAHHHHHH this headlamp is so great for running!

  3. Kids on the Move (amanda guevara)

Super bright light. Great in foggy weather. Battery life not super long but powerful when on

When I purchased the headlamp I was using it sparsely at the onset of my morning run. Maybe fifteen to twenty minutes, then the sun was up enough to not need it any longer. My routine changed so I didn’t need a light any longer, I had charged it, or so I thought. I broke it out again to start running in the evenings, I managed this time to drain the battery. When I returned home I tried multiple cables and wall plugs, finally I found the correct combination that made the little green charge light come on. I didn’t know it had a charging light. During my morning run routine I would plug it in when I got home, charging light never came on, I presumed it was charged and carried on my merry way. Unfortunately I continued to use the lamp and the charging light never returned. Now the the battery is drained and I retried my cable and wall plug dance to no avail. I did enjoy this lamp when it worked. Now it just sits in my closet until I can find a replacement.

Edit- Went directly to the manufacturer ([…]) explained the above story. Received an email from a Mr. Lopez stating they would ship a replacement.

Edit 2- Replacement received and has been in great working order for some months

When I first purchase this headlamp it worked great. The light was great for running and I loved that I could just recharge this w/o lugging around batteries. It worked and charged without any issue for about 5 times, but after that, It wouldn’t charge. I must have received a defective one, so I contacted the company directly and they replaced the light w/o any issue.
I have now been using the replaced headlamp all winter and have not had any issues with it charging. It works great and I’m very happy. I decided to give it just 4 stars because of my initial issue with the first one.

I have no idea why this thing is getting all of the bad reviews. I have been running with it for about a year now and I have had zero problems with it. This includes a number of 3+ hour runs in the pouring rain. I easily get 6+ hours out of the 80 lumen setting on a full charge. The strobe setting kind of weirded me out so I just keep it on the constant beam setting. Definitely a better headlamp than the Black Diamond that crapped out on me after about 6 months of use. Highly recommended for runners.

While this light was well built and rechargeable, it just didn’t work well for the price. The auto strobe function didn’t turn on until a vehicle was close enough that the strobe no longer mattered. I was never able to reliably set it off by waving my hand in front of it either, like it advertised. I returned the product and went with a different brand.

This headlamp was a treat after my 10 lumens lamp burned out. Going from a clip on headlamp for running to this was a huge improvement. Running at night on roads is dangerous and the settings have come in handy. Being able to switch modes with one hand has been great when I approach a busy intersection. The unit is very easy to charge and the indicator for when the unit is charged is perfect. Feel a lot better about running a trail Ragnar this summer. Update- this lamp has stopped charging and is worthless at this point. I will be contacting the manufacturer to see what options we have but am truly disappointed because I had thought Nathan was a great company.
