I feel like I can never have too many headlamps in various parts of my house, kind of like reading glasses. So, I was glad to be able to get this KLARUS headlamp recently. Here’s what I like/notice about it so far:
– It’s tiny! It’s 1.5″ wide by just over an inch tall. That isn’t a bad thing, just noticeably smaller than other headlamps I own. Also, being so small makes it very lightweight.
– The light has three settings, like most other headlamps I’ve owned (but not all), and it has a cool “turbo” feature that is activated by holding down the power button, resulting in a very bright light until it is turned off. It is still amazing to me that so much light can come from such a tiny LED! Oh, and it also has a red-light option if needed.
– I like that it is rechargeable. It comes with a 1 ft. micro-USB cable. I just love rechargeable devices in general because of not needing batteries and just being so simple to hook up and recharge.
– The headband is narrower than some (not a bad thing), adjustable, and the front has some kind of non-slip substance that isn’t sticky but does prevent slippage.
– It comes with a clip that can be used instead of the headband.
– The light can be rotated, like most headlamps, up to 180°.
– The instructions are tiny, so may require a magnifying glass for folks whose eyesight is not the sharpest anymore. However, once I read the instructions, I can operate the light easily without referring back to the instructions because it is so simple to operate.
This light was selling for $20 on Amazon when I got it, which I think is a fair price for such a compact, bright, rechargeable light.

Compact. Bright. Comfortable for extended wear. Charges quickly. Adequate battery life. Multiple lighting modes and intensities. Micro USB charging with included cable. Headlamp can tilt down. Includes a secondary clip that can attach to a backpack strap or hat. I like this headlamp. Itâs a great back up or spare in addition to my main headlamp, or would be good for a minimalist.

Comfortable and light, lamp has 3 brightness settings and a tilting bracket. So much better than the 1st gen headlamps that needed big batteries and weighed a ton. Bright enough I can look into the nearby boonies and see the coyotes looking back.

This provides sufficient light for a lamp this size. Very light and compact. The hinge doesn’t seem to have quite enough friction or something as the angle easily changes from where you leave it. Also the accessory clip will be hard to keep up with.

This unit is small with a big bright punch, and a slightly brighter turbo mode. I own a lot of headlamps this light is the best one I have. Great detail in strap. Rechargeable. Fantastic design. I could see this going for $60 in my area and it’s only $16 on Amazon! Incredible deal.
As someone who trains in operations in the dark with beacons and choppers this unit is military grade fun. A good bright light. Fits on your head directly or on a hat.

This is a must-have for anyone who needs a headlamp. It is very powerful and can illuminate a large area in case of an emergency when working or just walking in the dark. I was impressed by how long it lasted on a single charge. I verified that it could run for more than the advertised time, which is amazing for such a small device. The quality of the materials used is also very good. It feels sturdy and durable, not like some of the cheap ones I have used before. The strap is comfortable and adjustable, and it comes with a clip that can attach to a hat. It has four different levels of brightness, including a torch mode that is extremely bright. It also has a red-light mode that can be used to signal others of your presence. The charging port is protected by a rubber cover that prevents water from getting in. It comes with a USB cable that can be plugged into any standard USB-A charger. The only thing missing is a case, but that’s not a big deal considering the low price. This is a great headlamp that is small, light, bright and long-lasting. I highly recommend it!

I got this headlamp for camping and it does the job. It fits comfortably on your head without the band being too tight, creating pressure or causing a headache. The light it gives off is adequate. It’s not the brightest but it definitely helps. I only wish it had replaceable batteries instead of being rechargeable. I feel as if you would get far more use and better battery life if that were the case. In a camping situation, most people don’t have access to a charging station (other than any charging ports your car might have) and light is something you want on demand. You don’t want to worry about deaf batteries and replaceable batteries can be tossed in a bag for easy swapping out. I give this 5 stars for quality and comfort but I wouldn’t recommend for camping. Use this when walking your dog at night and can recharge when you get home

I needed a headlamp for my trip to Big Bend coming up in a few weeks. It’s a dark sky community out there so there won’t be too many lights around when we need to get from point a to point b and it will be dark much earlier during that time as well. This headlamp is amazing! I wasn’t so sure if it would be bright enough since it’s so tiny, but I just tried it out in my backyard and it lit up my entire backyard. The listing says 4 levels of light brightness, but I got 3 and one red flashing light – the first one is the brightest so make sure no one is looking at it directly when you have it on. It’s small enough that it would just fit in any pack or pocket. I haven’t been able to test it to see if it would last over 5 hours if used on the lowest setting, but that would be awesome if it did. I plan on keeping this in my car and using it as a flashlight. It’s also so convenient to wear it on your head so your hands are free.
