Currently use a $175 hunting pack, it does have a place for a water bladder but, it is bulky and heavy, this pack is more compact and easier to carry, have not used hunting yet but have used it in the woods and am impressed, will definitely be using this one for hunting next year.

You can spend $20 on just a water bladder. Or you can get this and it has a great 2 L water bladder (which is plenty, unless you’re going across the desert) and a very good little day pack. My backpack arrived fast and exceeded my expectations. The first night I filled it up and ‘hiked’ around my house looking for stuff to put in it as just a day hike pack. I had so much fun putting in 2 thermal blankets, rain poncho, emergency bivy sack, scissors, lighter, small bear spray, personal alarm, 4 lunchbox size granola snack bags, and 2 Snickers. Zipped it all up with room to spare and now I feel like I’ve got an awesome little water bladder day pack that has me prepared, just in case something goes wrong. It’s comfy and really well made and the perfect size for a day pack. Room to spare. When I’m using my big Kelty backpack for several days I’ll just pull the water bladder from this and pop it in there.
I saw one review that acted like it was hard to bite the water outlet or hard to screw the hose into the bag. I experienced zero problems and no leaks, but it’s still brand new to me. Either way, I’m super happy with mine.

Great backpack! I used it at a 5-day camping festival and it held up great. It didn’t leak, felt comfortable the whole time and I love the style. Only issues, and this may be on my over-use rather than the quality, but the plastic piece that covers the mouth piece broke off after 3-days of semi-frequent use. I can still put the head on, but it’s just not as secure as it once was. Also, it’s a smaller backpack. I made it work to carry what I needed, but for a full day’s worth of items, it was hard to fit that and have a full pack of water.
I hope that helps!

I got this little pack to use when riding a bike and it is more useful than I expected. Not only does it hold water but a little wallet, some odds and ends, and the bungee in front is useful for strapping a jacket/hat. The pouch in front is useful for a bike helmet as shown. Bonus is that the strap has a clip to attach the hose from the bladder. it always swings around and Camelbak’s clip is $14, so this is great!
**edit just now taking cap off, (5th or so time) the plastic part attaching it to the tube broke, leaving an end scratching me for the rest of the ride. Either have to see off I can find a replacement cap or but a whole new 2 liter bladder. Downgraded from 5 to 4 stars

Was searching for a small bag that I could keep my belongings in for a 5K in Chicago. I had to park my car in a parking garage so I needed to bring with me my keys, wallet, phone, and a water bottle. Everything fit perfectly with much room to spare. While running in the 5K, it’s as lightweight and didn’t even notice that I was running with it on. Great product and highly recommend for walking, running in a 5K, or hiking.

Great fit and price.

REALLY like this pack…great quality materials and comfortable to wear but it’s SMALL. I bought it for use as a day pack for hiking but it’s so small, really all you can fit in it when the water bladder is full is a set of car keys, your wallet, and maybe your cell phone! It’s great as a hydration pack only with room for small items but not a great choice for a day pack for hiking…just too small!

I purchased primarily because of the cost. I run in Spartan events and figured having the hydration pack with me would be helpful. I have read other reviews about there being leaks. I didn’t experience any leakage however, if the straw is not threaded correctly I can see how it would leak. Overall I am happy with this product.
Pros:
1) It got the job done.
2) price is affordable
3) the bag itself is nicely designed
Drawbacks
1. The material is rough on the straps and could potentially rub against the skin causing problems if one is running especially long distances.
2. Getting water through the straw comes in small amounts and takes a bit of effort. Not a problem if I am enjoying a trail walk but an annoyance when one is running and fatigued already.
