This timer is great. I bought it because you a program it to go off every so many minutes. I’m using it to help potty train my special needs son and not having to worry about resetting it for every 30 minutes is great.

Got for doing intervals at the gym. Kinda tricky to set up but works great

Just like the old Gym Boss timers, this one is mediocre. It works well; the alarm has enough various settings that you can be sure to find one that suits your need. The numbers are easy to read, setting up the timer and using the stopwatch function is good enough. My only problem with it is its lack of customizability in regards to interval times. You can set two, and only two, different interval times. For example, if I want to do 2 plyometric exercises for 30 seconds each, followed by a 45 second rest, I can’t use this timer. I could do 1 exercise for 30 seconds and then a 45 second rest period. This is an inconvenience when I attempt to do some interval training, like the heavy rope. When I use my rope, I’ll do 1 minute each of 5 different exercises, and then rest for 3 minutes. I would love the timer to do this: 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 1 minute, beep, 3 minutes, beep. But I can’t do that. Instead I have to set it for infinite 1 minute intervals, then when it comes time to rest, I have to count the three minutes. The point is, each “round” of HIIT training can only have 2 different times, and I wish this product could accommodate more variability than that.

This little gadget is a STAPLE in my fitness gear. HIIT cardio workouts are very effective and much more engaging than shuffling along on a treadmill or elliptical. The GymBoss is very easy to use, the batteries power it for a VERY long time, it’s super durable… I’ve dropped mine more than a few times and have never caused any damage… it clips easily onto a shirt, pants, shoes, armband… I love this thing.

This product replaces the motivating pager products made for the behavior mod world that cost upwards of 50 dollars. I find that they serve the same exact function and can usually find them for 15 or less. I have shared this link with so many people grateful to have an alternative that is light weight, user friendly and so inexpensive.

so easy to set up! works and sets up just like the instructions say! i love having the choice of how long to have the beep go off to change intervals! beep is loud enough. havent tried attaching it to a pocket or waist, i usually just hold it while running. got the teal/blue one and its a great colour! there are other colours so check those out! the purple and pink looks good so does the grey and yellow one.

I replaced my Gymboss Minimax (which I used for five years) with this one after it broke. Both are excellent but the Minimax offers far more features for the extra money. I miss the ability to save workouts and not have to keep a written record of those that I do.
I wish Gymboss would do a full metal version with robust electronics and backlight. I would gladly pay double for it and it would be an instant classic, I’m sure. I love this concept.
That said. This is easy enough to program and will be a long term gym buddy for me. I love the colour and it really does become one’s gym boss. One presses the start button and one obeys. Fantastic !

I use it for my own workouts, teaching classes and personal training. I only wish it had a way to attach a strap to it. It can be hooked to a belt or pants with the clip, but I have lost a couple of them tossing it in my bag or dropping it. If I had a strap attached to it I think I would hold on to it better lol. That’s probably just me though.

This timer helps me workout alone and makes me press myself to go “the distance.” Easy to use and setup (though I did go to YouTube for that and not the instruction sheet provided). Clips on and stays put while working out.

Love this interval trainer. I’ve set it to use for my long/weekly runs and feel I’ve become more efficient with it. Before I was counting in my head :/ The alert to switch is loud enough that I can hear it with headphones on. I’ve even used the interval timer while running in the rain and it worked perfectly. I feel this is a much better buy than the Galloway timer. once I purchased I received my order in a few days.
My only con would be the clip to attach the timer to your clothes slides off very easily therefore you should be aware of where your clipping it. I’ve only had it fall once while running. And I use it three to four times a week.
