Great watch for athletic parents. Garmin makes great products. They won me over with the instinct 2 so I wanted to upgrade to a bigger and more sophisticated watch. What I love about the watch is being able to view all the information on the watch without having to use my phone. I purchased it on sale and it’s definitely worth the price. Again, excellent quality and has motivated me even more to stay active. The flashlight is awesome, too.

I really like that this is a nice watch that lasts 20+ days (I use the GPS navigation maps for custom courses I made a few times during a charge and that drains the battery a lot)

I like how it is not bright on the face of the screen and barely noticeable. I can turn on the backlight if needed. Very discrete.

I track my workouts too. I will quickly add the strength activity and easily put the weight and reps. It will automatically know what kind of muscles it is hitting based on the rotation movement, and direction. Later I can manually update the details in the phone app to make it more clear.

This is a fantastic device to help people who overthink get into shape.

I decided to get the Fenix over the Epix because I’ve got several long multi-day bikepacking and road touring events planned this year. The solar charging and longer battery life were the main selling points for me. I’ve noticed no issues with screen viewing outside so far.

Also love the iPhone integration and integration with Strava, MapMyRide and Komoot, which I use for different types of cycling activities.

Last, the smartwatch does a great job tracking other workouts such as pushups and situps and transferring the data to MapMyFitness.

Best electronics purchase I’ve made this year!

The watch is what it says it is and then some. The battery life is really great for a smart watch. I don’t really use it for running or anything working out but am a big outdoorsman with hiking and working dog and tracking them on my other Garmin devices. To have the ability to watch the weather change, and have the access to the topographical maps and then be able to actually view the dogs on it when I’m working K9 just simplifies everything for me to stay focused on my task on hand. I have had Apple Watches in the past and they were ok this is a comfortable watch to wear even to sleep in. Which is great because it runs a sleeping monitor to let you know your progress one of the big things that I was tossed up on was if the 7X was going to be too large for my wrist it’s not and I’m not a big guy with big arms average build. And to have the flashlight feature on it is excellent for me I use it quite regularly I would compare it to wearing an average headlamp for brightness more then you would expect from a watch. For me that is huge I can be running at night though the woods with a dog in harness and don’t have to worry about fiddling around with a flashlight is much more convenient than I thought it would be. So I only have this watch very short time. I’m very satisfied with it and I’m not great with high tech type stuff and this watch is easy enough for me to maneuver around I can turn the touchscreen on and off if I need it, which is a really nice feature.

This is my first GARMIN product purchase. As a former Apple Watch user, I am very impressed by the quality, design, durability, battery life and comfort. Highly recommend.

I have this watch since two months now and i really like it. It looks awesome and the gps is such a fantastic tool. The battery life is outstanding! Used it a lot in mexico during my vocation without signal. Can’t wait to try it in the wood this summer!

I bought this watch to replace my Samsung Galaxy 4 watch.

The battery life is enormous. With normal use, it’ll last maybe 2-3 weeks. I’m not that active of a person. I’m actually probably not the audience this watch is geared towards but I got it anyways bc I wanted a smart watch that would have a charge lasting more than a day.

It does exactly what I want, lasts more than a day. Nice big display.
I don’t like that the display isn’t super bright. However, I actually bought the Forerunner 965 to try out. The interfaces were almost the same, except the Forerunner was more beautiful. When I move my hand to look at the time though, bc the Fenix is a MIP display, it is truly always on. I can at least see it. The forerunner though would be off, sometimes wouldn’t turn on unless I wiggles my wrist a smidge. It’s something little, I know.

But, for my needs (I work in a hospital, sometimes get blood or other patient biohazardous fluids on it during procedures), it works great. I can wash it very very thoroughly. If it can survive 5ATM of pressure it can definitely handle a thorough cleaning.

The band that came with it is nice. I usually losen it one or two notches overnight. The sleep tracking, which is not the primary purpose of the watch, is pretty good. I think my old Fitbit Charge 3 was more accurate for sleep timings than Samsung Galaxy 4…. And that was more accurate than the Fenix. But overall, good enough for my needs. It doesn’t keep track of naps though. Supposedly there is an update coming soon to fix that.

The brightness could be better BUT in direct sunlight I can definitely read it.

The built in flashlight is clutch. I love that feature. I don’t remember the Forerunner 965 having it but I tried both simultaneously for a week and might have just forgotten.

Location is extremely accurate for me. No issues. I only used it near my house. Primarily to track my location to send to wife in case of medical emergencies while walking. Very very happy with it.

Again, my use case is slightly different than the typical for the audience this is meant for. I’m not a health fanatic. Just an average person. I walk maybe 2-3 miles a day. I don’t go on mountain trails that often. I don’t go biking. So I can’t really comment on that stuff.
