I have been a fan of Outdoor Research Swift hat, but their quality has been terrible. This hat is hands down better, it just runs a little small. if you have a normal size head get the large. If you have a large head this will probably not fit. Will be using this brand more in the future. I gave it 5 stars for quality unlike OR which you are luckly if the bill is sewn on the front of the hat.

Being a big cap wearer most of his life he knows a thing or two about caps. He loved the light weight, the way cap fit his head and the way the bill was designed. He’s a bit particular about his attire so this is a home run.

Decent hat. Both well made and comfortable.
However, this hat holds in water horribly. The first time I wore it was on an extensive trail run and it felt like I kept a thick wet rag sitting on my head. I had to keep taking it off and shaking the heavy beaded up water out of it. I would certainly wear this hat again for other circumstances, but definitely not for trail running.
