As described and fast delivery. Will last for years like my previous one – that’s why I bought it again

Great round timer! I set this on the ground near me when working the heavy or double end bags in my garage. I can tap it with my glove or toe to pause it easily. The volume is perfect and the size of the display allows me to see it from a distance so I don’t have to stop to see where I am in the round. I’ve dropped it on the concrete from height at least 3 times and it has kept working and showed no sign of damage. I have not used it on my arm while working out – it feels a little too big for me personally (I’m almost 5’3″ 😉 ) but I don’t think it would be too big for an average size person. It might feel a bit heavy if you’re just starting to work out. It has all the round timing, interval, and rest options I wanted, basically equivalent to the round timer used at my gym but far cheaper and much more compact. I think this is a great timer and would recommend it to anyone!

I just receive my Everlast Interval Training Round Timer. Without looking at the instructions, I was able to load the batteries, but with five different buttons it was not intuitive how to change the interval timing settings. So, I decided to read the printed instructions included in the package. Unfortunately, even with a graduate degre, I am unable to read the instructions. The reason is simple: they are ONLY written in Russian and I took French as my foreign language. I noticed on the Amazon site that this package is approved for shipment in the US. Granted the package has English on the external packaging materials, but to ONLY provide Russian-language instructions for a product with fairly technical directions to change the settings. The setting change trick is that you have to hold down the “NEXT & CHANGE” buttons at the same time to move into the “settings change mode”. Then, the CHANGE button causes an individual setting to “change” and the NEXT button moves to the “next” setting change. If you want to get a copy of the English instructions, I found the following English instructions on the Internet: http://www.fitness-seller.nl/downloads/dl/file/id/98/gebruiksaanwijzing_ev_7011timer.pdf/. Another trick, you will need to use the Lock Button because the Pause Button on the face of the device is very sensitive. One push of the Lock Button will Lock the screen, but you have to PRESS & HOLD the Lock Button for several seconds to unLOCK the screen. Without these instructions, you will have a difficult time using the device until you learn the “real meaning” of how the buttons work. Now that I’ve figured out how to change the settings to my desired intervals, I hope to use it on my next “Walk/Run/Walk” training run.

It also comes with a “strap” to be used in place of the belt clip, but I’m still trying to figure out how to remove the belt clip so that I can insert the belt in the loop. *UPDATE* I have figured out how to remove the belt clip. (1) Open the clip and place your thumb INSIDE the open clip with the large section of the clip resting on the back of your thumb, (2) Push down with your thumb and then SLIDE your thumb towards you to slide the clip loose from the body of the timer. (3) Insert the strap through the loops on the back of the timer.

I’ll update my Star Rating after I have had a chance to actually use the device. Right now it gets 5 Stars for functionality, but 1 Star for Instructions (unless you read Russian, in which case it would get 5 and 5. SHAME ON AMAZON for releasing a product with ONLY Russian language instructions…!!! UPDATE: I have now used the device for several runs. It works just like it is supposed to. The only question is how you want to set the alarm for each interval: Ring, Vibrate, or Ring/Vibrate. I started with Ring/Vibrate, but that was too much. I’m going to just use the Ring the next time.

Très sympathique pour les mordus de sport de combats. Les réglages sont aisés et l’appareil pratique. Il remplit la tâche qu’on lui assigne.

After being diagnosed with athritis in my hip my doctor recommended trying interval running instead of just straight long distances. While my watch has an interval option, I can’t hear it over my headphones. I decided to give this a try. Instructions do not come with the timer, but if you do a google search for Everlast Interval Training instructions, they come right up. It was a pdf file, so I had no problem enlarging it until it was big enough to read clearly. Like another poster mentioned, it comes with batteries, but they aren’t very good. I left it in my car overnight in the SC summer and the next day it was dead. I was horrified that I had ruined it. Just the batteries. Switched them out with new ones and it’s been fine since. It has the option for an alarm or vibrations (or both). I originally had it set to both, but the alarm was so loud I had to switch to vibrations. I didn’t need everyone on the trail trying to figure out what the noise was. The vibrations are strong enough that even if I clip it on instead of wearing it as an arm band, I can still feel them.

The only negative I would really say is the size. It’s a little bigger than a credit card and a lot thicker. So imagine wearing that on your arm. It doesn’t really bother me too badly, but it did take a run or two to get used to. Other than that it’s worked great for interval running.

I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a count down timer for interval training. I inline speed skate so I cannot easily view settings and scroll through menus while skating as this compromises safety. This unit can be worn on your arm so once I input all my settings I only have to press an on/off button and a start button to begin my workout. It is pretty much hands free. These buttons are large and easy to access.

It is a bit difficult to figure out how the arm band can be assembled to work with the unit and I have heard this criticism before. If it were not for a kind salesman at REI Inc, helping me figure it out I probably never would have been able to do it. With that said once assembled I am good to go. I also like the very audible alarm which signals the end of your interval. I need something loud enough to hear over the swoosh of my wheels on the pavement and the wind in my ears. I can reach speeds well over 30mph on downhills so background noise is always a factor. This unit will actually make you jump when the alarm sounds it is so loud and for me that is effective and what I desire.

This product did just what I wanted it to, for a low price. You can set exercise time and interval periods on repeat without worrying about fiddling around with your smartphone. Very intuitive to set up. Highly Recommended!!

Me gusto bastante este interval round timer, por ser cómodo, además de tener varias alternativas de programación, en síntesis me ha sido muy útil en mis rutinas deportivas.
    Muy recomendable.

Good for going to the gym and setting up a rigorous workout. It came already came set up, defaulted for 3 minute rounds with a ring with 30 seconds left, then there’s a one minute rest period. The bell sound isn’t too loud. Each round is tabulated after each cycle is completed. The unit clips next to where the boxing bag is mounted in the gym. I can get started and run through my full routine of 8-, 10- or 12 rounds. While others stand around I can pile through a full, accurate workout. The directions are typically quirky, but I went with the prearranged timings. I recommend this training round timer. It’s just what I needed.
