10 reviews for ENERGIZER LED Headlamp Rechargeable X1000, Ultra Bright IPX4 Water Resistant Head Light, 1000 Lumen Turbo Mode, Headlamp for Outdoors, Power Outage…

I am very impressed this is a quality flashlight. It comes with an 18650 rechargeable lithium battery installed that charges while in the battery compartment by a supplied usb cord, and also comes with two (2) CR123 batteries that can be used instead. The light is BRIGHT but can be dimmed as well. The Headband setup is ok, neither great nor bad, but adequate when needed. If you just want to have a Headlamp then go for a dedicated Headlamp instead I’d say, but as an EDC light this is very versatile. Now I dont know how its longevity will play outt, but so far its very good.

For well under $20 you can’t beat this light. Not sure why the grey/gray (whatever) one is so much less than the black one, but I don’t care. It’s a very versital light with solid construction. It produces plenty of light, and the ability to easily pull it out its headband mount to use in your hand makes it extremely convenient, and again versital. It’s battery and charging system is ideal, and it lasts a good while between charges. If I have to give it a negative the only 2 issues I have are I wish it used a now standard Type-C charging port instead of the old micro-USB that was common 7-8 years ago, (but this light might have been designed 7-8 years ago, and if so the micro-USB port would go understandable) and it can be a little bit front heavy compared to other headlamps that are made with cheaper plastic housings, and that don’t just detach. Still that’s me nitpicking. It’s not uncomfortably front heavy or anything, but if it’s something that you’re going to use frequently for hours at a time, I’m sure a more expensive, higher-end, more focused head lamp would be a better option, and a justified expense in that scenario. Also most people still have several micro-USB cables that plug into USB ports laying around, and they’re still easy to find in most stored, so you should have no issues with charging these in your vehicles, home, work, or wherever else you want to use it. This is an easy product to rate 5 stars for me.

I bought this because of the detachable feature. So I can use it hands free or remove it from the head strap and use it in tight spaces. It’s very bright and the charging feature is great. Stays charged longer than any of the other ones I have had. Highly recommend!!!

I bought this about 6 months ago to use at work as a mechanic. I have used a multiple times a week since then. It’s an excellent light for the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again!

It’s very bright and throws a nice flood pattern beam.

If you’re looking for a spot beam, get a different headlamp. The beam is not adjustable.

For what I do, looking at stuff up close, it’s perfect.

The battery that comes with it isn’t very good, but that’s fine for the price. I put a better quality, higher capacity battery and it from one of my other lights.

I really like that it doesn’t have a magnet integrated into it, those tend to collect a lot of metal dust while I work.

If you’re looking for a quality light at this price point, I highly recommend it!

Build quality is solid, metal in the areas that matter, the USB charge for the battery takes away the biggest chore of these things, after swapping out AAA’s on the cheaper ones after each use if you want anything more than long tail dim “run time” you will be glad for the convenience of a plug.
It comes with both the 18650 rechargeable and long life one time emergency use cells which is nice. Perhaps in the future they’ll include a 3400mah instead of 2600mah rechargeable, but I can’t complain at this price. I do think most people would prefer a larger rechargeable vs having those extra lithium cells included though.
The one flaw is the hard plastic clip on the headband makes it hard to adjust angle, its a very tight friction fit, I solved this by getting an 18650 headlight flashlight silicon headband on aliexpress from the convoy flashlight store for not much at all, the silicon elastic holder is easier to adjust than hard plastic and easier on your head than hard plastic.
Also added a magnetic usb charge adapter for a “mag safe” like charge, I lose a bit of water resistance but that’s fine.
Compared to my convoy s2+ the brightness is pretty similar up close, it is diffused and has no lens so it does not compete at a distance but that is fine.
Turns on and off without fuss, after a period of being on a second push will turn it off without going through the cycle of useless modes like many alternatives.
Taken as a whole this is functional out of the box with included charger and battery and is a great value compared to the false economy budget retail options that use normal cells. Easy to ensure it is always bright when you need it, and will run until the job is done.

My only con is that it is a little heavy but for a budget light it works great

  9. heather oswalt

I used this headlamp in a 2-days camping, and the light is excellent for the night. The battery has a good capacity.

  10. Amazon Customer

Good beam, lasts a good amount of time,
A little heavy so I can’t wear it for long, but I don’t need to do it’s ok for me.
