I gave this four stars for one reason only, that it works well with the Echelon bike. We have the Echelon fit app and the heart rate monitor is fairly accurate, and having it on arm band makes it easy to get on and off. I have a chest heart rate monitor that is accurate and the Echelon is pretty much within a few beats per minute of my chest monitor.

I did try to connect it to my Garmin cycling computer, but was unsuccessful. But I didn’t buy it for that. It would have been nice if it worked, but it works with our exercise bike. It is a bit on the bulky side, but its not uncomfortable to wear. The arm band is adjustable so you can size it to fit comfortably on a wide size range of arms. And it did not slip around at all during any of my exercise rides so far.

It’s good for your Echelon bike, but don’t expect to work for other applications.

Purchased this to wear while my wife and I cycle on our Echelon EX-7s so as to have the heart rate metrics show up on the bike’s screen during workouts and record our heart scores as part of the Echelon ‘progress.’ I originally tried pairing my Apple Watch through my iPhone to the bike, but the heart rate metric on the screen would remain static for long periods of time and even when it would refresh at a more frequent rate, it tended to be at most every 10-15 seconds – far from ideal. Purchased this monitor hoping it’d do better and it absolutely does. It’s adjustable and comfortable. It’s easy to pair with the Echelon, but I suppose my only gripe is that I have to pair it every time – it’s very easy to do, but at the beginning of each workout, it’s one more thing to have to do through the bike screen while I’d prefer to just focus on the warmup. I’ve compared the accuracy to my Apple Watch and both are very consistent with each other so I’m assuming it’s accurate. The heart rate metric refreshes very frequently on the screen and the displayed heart rate zone (blue/zone 1, green/zone 2, yellow/zone 3, orange/zone 4, and red/zone 5) are accurate based on my age using standard calculations. Overall I like it and hope it lasts a long time. Will update this review if I run into problems.

Fits comfortably on my forearm. Works every time.

The media could not be loaded.

This device will not connect to the Echelon APP. Product support took me to Echelon support. They required video proof via email. I tried to email them a video, but they always said they could not view them. I tried via SharePoint folder and Google Drive. I reduced the video length and ensured the size fit under the allowed attachment size. Every time they would say they didn’t get it (email attachment) or couldn’t view them (shared folder) and would close the ticket. I would reopen and try again; I went above and beyond to prove to them that it didn’t work. But they were unwilling to work with me, and now I’m stuck with a $40.00+ device that doesn’t work.
When I first got it, the instructions said there was a cover to remove from the back of it that was not on mine. I feel that I was sold a device that wasn’t new, and I cannot get anyone to discuss it with me.
If there were a negative star rating for customer service, I would give them a negative 10. I have never been so dissatisfied with an item purchased through Amazon.

This heart rate monitor strap is comfortable to wear and accurately reports your heart rate. Integration with my Echelon bike was easy!
