Great gadget that captures your heart rate, comfy and good quality! I would absolutely recommend.

I will be updating this unfinished review pretty soon, for better or for worse.
In short: This HRM worked well and seemed accurate for four or five workouts, but then started glitching (see below). I tried support@coospo.com to ask for a possible fix, but clicking on the link didn’t connect to anything. I then contacted Amazon who set me up for an exchange which didn’t cost me anything for the new unit or for shipping the old one back (or for shipping the new one, but we have Prime). The new unit arrived yesterday (earlier than promised) and I charged it up completely. I used the Heartool app today and it worked well and seemed accurate. But that’s how the first unit started also so I’ll update this in a couple of weeks.
First unit experience: When I bought this HRM, there were only three reviews on Amazon and all three received their product for free via Vine Voice. That’s usually a big red flag for me, but CooSpo gets good reviews for their products in general and the reviews seemed well thought out and informative so I took a chance.
After receiving it, I charged the unit up completely before using. I adjusted the strap to fit properly. I downloaded three apps to my android to see which one I liked best: Heartool (a COOSPO app?); Wahoo; Polar Beat. I alternated them each day to try them all out. Worked well and seemed accurate for 4 or 5 workouts, then started glitching: dropping the connection twice, showing a really high jump in heartrate once for about 30 seconds for no reason, and turning itself on when it shouldn’t. I deleted the Wahoo and Polar Beat apps from my phone and even I trimmed some chest hair just in case; still glitched. Although I’m only using its most basic functions and only link it to my android, I liked it and would have given it five stars if it had continued to work well. With the first unit messing up and the support link not linking to support, I think the best they can hope for is a four-star review; we’ll see.
Me: early 60s; haven’t exercised for over eight years; wanted HRM to make sure I got my heartrate high enough so I’m not wasting my time, but without, you know, dying; currently only doing step aerobics for 50 minutes to work off fat, but will branch out into other exercises later. Never used a HRM before. I exercise at home and traded convenience of wrist unit for increased accuracy of chest unit. BTW, as of this review, there are 15 written reviews and all 15 received free products. Think what you want about that.

Edit 9/20/23. TL;DR on original review? Summary: Received item and it worked well for a few workouts, then started glitching. CooSpo support page didn’t link to anything so I arranged exchange with Amazon. I submitted a tentative review on Amazon giving 2 stars and an explanation why; the next day, CooSpo emailed me to offer a refund for my purchase. I ignored their offer: I don’t mind paying for a product that works, but a refund before the second item arrives feels like a bribe. New HRM arrived and it worked well for 12 workouts before it started glitching. I returned it to Amazon for a refund.

I purchased another brand that did work but had problems linking up to the apps I use. It didn’t last 2 years before the plastic started breaking, eventually making it useless. I have the Coospo cadence and speed product for my MTB, so I figured I would try the heartrate monitor. It was smaller than the other brand and connected somewhat easy to the apps. So far, it has been way better. I do like the lights on the device that make it easier to know it’s connected and working. the lights can be disabled if you choose, but I have found them useful. Good product so far!

  4. Ckfn

    Works great, no issues.

  5. Louay M. Safi

I used it couple of times, but I’m so far satisfied. Flexible and responsive. I like the fact tha you can charge it without resorting to the massy battery replacement of the Garmin counterpart

  6. Jaime S. Pedraza

Great quality, comfort and battery life.

  7. Oscar Navarro

Muy fácil de usar y preciso

  8. Braden

Advertises “MAX HEART RATE VIBRATION” warning but only beeps.
I bought this so I could have it vibrate when I go above my set heart rate.
But there’s no vibration, just a beep. But I wear headphones while working out so that doesn’t work for me.
