I have been wearing the Brooks cascadia trail shoe for years, tried to switch it up a few time and get a different brand, but went right back to the Cascadia. Great fit, roomy, and just enough cushion for the trails.

I wore these brand new, fresh out of the box hiking for hours in Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon. They were immediately comfortable, didn’t rub or feel too stiff, and kept my feet safe and happy all day long. I used these on both wet and dry trails, sandy trails, loose rock, wet rock, and to walk around town on pavement over the course of a week. I have wider flat feet and osteoarthritis in the balls of my feet. Generally the only foot pain I ever have is the arthritis, and my complete lack of arches from flat feet causes me no pain or issues. These shoes are great for my feet. I ordered a size 8 because I can usually wear an 8 or 8.5 in Brooks and be good to go. The 8 felt too short, so I returned for an 8.5 and they were perfect. They held up to a lot of really rocky terrain with nary a scuff and great traction. I hosed the sandy dust off and they are ready for the next hike! Very pleased with these!

They are so comfortable and are true to size. I have high arches and these provide perfect support. I wore them for a long hike right out of the box and they were perfect, stayed comfortable, no blisters. I didn’t have to break them in. I was even hiking on hills and rocky terrain. The traction is amazing

I walk twice a day five days a week and once a day on weekends. I will still go out if it’s raining as long as it’s not coming down too hard. Got these to wear in moderate rain. They’re more comfortable and easier for me to walk in than the lightweight snow boots I have to wear in rainy weather (because they’re warm and they have good traction). These aren’t the most cushioned shoes, but they’re more cushioned than my snow boots, and therefore more comfortable to me, so I’m able to walk at my normal pace. I walk a little slower in my snow boots, and I can’t wear my arch supports in them. I can wear my arch supports in these. They aren’t waterproof, so you have to avoid puddles, and of course they’re not great if it’s really pouring out but if it’s really pouring out, I’m probably staying in. I just don’t want to slip and fall and break a hip or whatever because I chose to wear Brooks Adrenalines (my walking shoes of choice) on a rainy day. They’re great for what I wanted them for.

I regret sending these back since wide toe box is totally in fashion right now for foot health. But at the time they felt too roomy. Tread in the bottom is very sturdy for trails. I’d like to try these in an 8 when I usually get an 8.5 for running.

I bought these shoes for my trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico since I knew I’d be doing a lot of walking in this hilly mountain town on cobblestone streets. They did not disappoint! I walked an average of 5-7 miles per day and they were extremely comfortable. My size is 8.5 wide and I also use them to run and do circuit training. I’m not turning back to the other brands anymore!

I was getting ready to go on a trip that involved walking and hiking and my coach recommended Brooks hikers. I have a foot that is a bit wider than a medium so I have to look for a wide and this was pretty much my option. Luckily I love the black/seafoam combo. At first try I wasn’t sure about these since they are a definitely different feel from the Brooks Ghost that I just got for the gym. They aren’t “squishy” like the ghost, but it makes sense. The sole and structure are a great design for hiking-more rigid and the sole have good grip. I also got a men’s version for my husband. No real beak in period and we were both raving about these hikers. No pain, no rubbing and a total success.

I bought these before embarking on this year’s hiking trip. They were extremely comfy on first wear (hiked in them for several hours the first day). They were very durable, stayed comfy on following hiking days, washed up well, and look nice.
I was a Mizuno-loyalist for decades but made the switch to Brooks after quality of Mizunos declined over the past couple years.
