These are so comfortable to run in and the liner has great coverage (no riding up or chaffing).

They’re running shorts. That part works fine. But, all the utility outside the act of running is pretty low. I love using workout/running/yoga shorts as an underlayer beneath a dress, because then I can rock the smoothest unpocketed masterpieces while still toting a phone, wallet, and other essentials around with me – and no easily-stolen or losable purse, either!
Basically, this is a long-winded way of saying that, while pockets are advertised, and *technically* exist, they’re uselessly shallow. Even a small candybar phone will have trouble fitting in the rear zippered pocket, and the SIDE pockets? Whaaaaa? Let’s just call them “lipstick launchers”, because they sit right at the hip-swivel, have a *central* opening, effectively making them half-inch depth, and have NO means to keep them closed. Whatever you try to store in the side pockets is just coming out of the side pockets. Don’t even need to be running, they’ll plop out when you’re standing still, sitting at the bar, you name it.
Anyway, as a free pair of review shorts, these are a keeper for me – I can throw them in my permanent travel carry-on for work, and leave my good shorts at home, keeping them out of harm’s way and the very real possibility of daily hotel workouts and 8 days between laundry cycles.
Oh, one PURELY positive note, to even things out: DRAW STRING CLOSURE! YAAAAAAAASSSS! Obviously, the more we work out, the more likely we are to go down a size… And these shorts will accommodate quite a loss before they are totally unusable as workout-wear. Plus, no risk of a downward slide when worn under something else! Why do all shorts not have this added bonus? WHYYYYYY?
Pic might be hard to figure out since I’m also wearing black tights. But, the whole point of my review is they don’t really “stand out” anyway, so… guess that fits the theme!

I really like these shorts, which are reminiscent of my favourite ever shorts. The split, leaf or petal type overlap of the front and back is not only attractive, but offers better ease of movement. I don’t find the liner needful, but I suppose that people whose favoured panty style would show will like that. They’re very comfy for dance type exercise, among others. I like the addition of a zipped pocket in the back for secure stowage of small items. They appear to be well made with appropriate fabric.

I love these shorts and will by buying more. I bought them for a trip to Mexico not only are they comfortable but also durable. I also used them as a swim suit bottom. I just love them

These shorts fit true to size and the best part is they are not too short. The back pocket is great for bringing odds and ends with me on a run and the rubber zipper pull is a nice addition. I have washed them several times, and they come out perfect, overall, these are a great, basic black running short.

Got these for my wife who loves to run.
Ordered a small, fit as expected. Maybe a sliver shorter in real life? Color matched expectations.
The pocket in the back is big enough for a sugar packet, or house key but definitely no phone.
She hasn’t been able to wear them outside yet, it is just too cold still to run in shorts. But she likes them and looks forward to wearing them come spring.

These are great shorts, they are soft and comfortable. I ordered a second pair in a size up. 5,4 about 135 pounds. Small fits, we will see how medium feels.
