This is not a smartwatch so don’t expect apps, but this is the Best Running GPS Music watch I’ve tried.
You can download a spotify premium playlist to the watch and listen to it with Bluetooth headphones.
The GPS locks on immediately and is incredibly accurate, unlike I’ve experienced on multiple FitBit GPS watches and trackers.

I love this watch so much my husband bought one, too. I bought this to train for my first triathlon and I love it. The only thing I didn’t realize before had is that it doesn’t have a triathlon activity selection so I have to select each workout activity every time I switch. Anyway, hubby is a big runner and he loves being able to train in zone 2.

It works perfect, easy to use!!!

The watch is great, but am I really sad it doesn’t synchronize with my bioimpedance scale (as did my previous watch to the app Samsung Health). As well, I expected it to synchronize with the agenda of my Google (as did the Samsung watch). I really don’t understand how it synchronizes with some alarms but not with others… And I’d expect it to turn off the alarm both in the watch and in the smartphone as my previous smartwatch did.
So, although its battery lasts longer than the Samsung smartwatches (which was main concern previously), it is helpless for other things.

I’m still learning the features of this watch, but so far I’m very happy with my purchase. I’ve used numerous Garmin GPS watches in the past; most recently a Vivosmart HR+. The 245 is a perfect upgrade for me. For reference I’m a runner, currently doing around 25 miles per week and training for a half marathon. I love the options to create and upload your own workouts/plans, or select a coach based on your specific goals. Another plus is that the charge lasts significantly longer than any other Garmin I’ve had. I purchased this watch “Refurbished”, but honestly wonder if it was just a return vs. used – it looked like new, with the protective film on the watch face. Overall this was a great buy.

Setup is not intuitive, but once it’s up and running this is a great device. More for running that ‘smartwatch’ but that’s exactly how it’s marketed.

Always love Garmin!

Responsible for a streak of over 500 consecutive days with >2-5K runs, and still counting. This watch is my new best friend. It has all the features I need, it is not fragile, it is relatively easy to use, and the bracelet is comfortable (no rash, nothing that does not disappear after a short break). Screens are customizable — I like mine minimalist. I like the sleep analysis feature, very insightful.
It charges quickly, the charging process does not affect my routine and it holds a charge for quite long. I have not used the music feature yet though (spotify premium / mp3 storage) because I use mp3 headphones, but it was a factor when I bought them.
Thank you Garmin, I love you!

It’s a solid product, a really good buy for sports enthusiasts, I personally run. Gives me great stats and that has helped me improve my running. I bought it pre-used here on Amazon and imported it to South Africa. It’s not a touch screen but uses buttons which is great for when sweating, it’s solid and can take falls. The bands are standard and interchangeable which means from time to time you can renew your look. The only thing about Garmin is the learning curve can be high, took me years to even unearth some of the great training features, I wish Garmin could do a better job with that. It’s a great buy and the supporting apps have lots of goodies in terms of third-party apps! Enjoy your sporting adventure
