10 reviews for Brooks Men’s Adrenaline GTS 22 Supportive Running Shoe

Nice shoes… perfect fit…VERY comfortable! After reading some other reviews left by others, I wasn’t sure if I was making the right choice or not, however, they feel great! The arch support is very nice, not over bearing, just right. I am a retired mailman after 32 years and thousands of miles on these feet. I usually have problems finding shoes that fit this nice hopefully they will hold up as well! I am tempted to get another pair, these are so nice!

I had been buying Adidas Supernova Glide/Rise shoes for a long time and right around 2020 they started to use recycled materials to construct the shoes. This is nice an all, but the quality of the shoe went down, yet the price stayed the same (go figure). It wasnt just the quality, but the structure, support and comfort had all gone from being very good to totally mehhhh.
After searching the web and trying on many shoes i came across the Brooks Adrenaline GTS and bought my first pair. I am now on my 3rd or 4th pair and can say they LAST. Their comfortable and feel like the right tool for the job. I’m in my 30s and a former athlete and never would wear running shoes outside of training. Well Brooks changed that. Now i wear them nearly every day because everything else just doesnt feel right.

First time buying Brooks, find them to be light, supportive and comfortable. Great running/walking shoe

What is particularly nice about this shoe is that it comes in narrow widths. Because of the mesh top I won’t wear it if it’s wet or cold. It offers good arch support and a solid heel. Very comfortable!!

I go to Orange Theory – a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) exercise class – about 5 times per week. There is a combination of rowing, running, and weights / agility. I think these shoes are excellent for Orange Theory, as their stack height (height of the midsole foam) is reasonable, there are some guardrails to provide stability, and enough cushion for 3 to 5 mile runs on the treadmill.

Surprisingly, finding a good pair of shoes for the rowing machine can be difficult. If the shoe has too much foam and overly cushioned, one loses a lot of force in the leg drive due to the cushioning in the shoe. The Adrenalines have a reasonable amount of foam and the foam is a bit more firm, so not as much energy is lost in the shoes during the row.

The shoes have “guard rails” around the heel of the shoe. The idea behind these guard rails is to limit the heel movement if one overpronates (role in) or supinates (roll out). These guard rails really help with agility exercises that have a lot of lateral movement, keeping the foot planted in the shoe. I have tried agility exercises in running shoes that have high stack heights and limited lateral stability and I;m always afraid of rolling an ankle.

The shoes are designed for running and they are comfortable for the treadmill. I can easily do 3 to 5 mile runs with no issues.

The fit is ample – the toebox is pretty wide. The feel of the foam is firm, rather than squishy like some of the new foams. There’s plenty of rubber on the outsole, so they won’t wear out quickly.

The only con with these shoes is the foam is the tried and trued EVA (essentially Styrofoam and Elmer’s Glue), which I find tends to break down faster than some of the new foams like Adidas Boost, Nike React, and Saucony’s Powerrun+.

First pair of Brooks and they feel good on the feet all day. Haven’t started running in them yet but they are light and supportive.

For me Brooks is fantastic. They fit to size and are perfect for someone with a wide foot. I purchase this brand over and over.

These are the perfect walking and running shoes for me. I have issues with other brands that squeeze my toes together, regardless of the shoe size. These shoes have a roomy toe box that allow my toes to fully splay with each step. They are very light and comfortable, and have just the right amount of cushion for prolonged activity.

I have a narrow foot, and these fit me like a glove. The tongue is nicely padded also. The fit, to me, is comparable to the NB 995’s that I’ve been wearing for years. The GTS 22 is not as cushioned, but not bad either. They are very supportive, and the fit is snug. The best part is these shoes are very, very light weight. I’m not concerned with longevity at this point, as I’ve only had them for a few weeks, but the 995’s don’t last very long at all, and they cost 200 bucks. I’ve found a new favorite tennis shoe.
