8 reviews for Hydration Pack with 2L Backpack Water Bladder – Great for Outdoor Sports of Running Hiking Camping Cycling Skiing

  1. Uncle Vanya

I bought this to use for La Ruta de los Conquistadores, “the hardest mountain bike race in the world”, because I needed a very light 2L pack. This pack worked well. I actually changed out the hydration pack because I wanted a bladder where the nozzle had a cap that completely covered the mouthpiece, because on this trip you ride through cow dung and so forth and I didn’t want it flying up onto the mouthpiece. So, I bought this for the pack itself, not even the bladder, and I still think it was a good price.

The bag is well designed with one of the zippered pockets going to the bottom and the other terminating in line with the end of the mesh pocket. The mesh pocket is very useful to stuff a jacket in there, or your used bar and gel wrappers, etc.

The one thing I would change is the way the chest straps are setup. They have 3 loops so that you can put them higher or lower, but I had them on the lowest setting and it still wound up too close to my neck. I also had to tighten them as much as possible. Anyway, it worked well enough.

The reason that I bought this pack instead of other similar ones [This appears to be one of many sold on amazon with different brands that are essentially all the same pack] is because it has the waist strap as well. The others did not seem to have the waist strap. This is useful especially for mountain biking when the pack bounces up and down on your back. Less necessary for road biking.

  2. Deanna Rodriguez

used this for a hiking trip and it works great doesn’t leak or anything. the bag also holds quite a bit definitely recommend

  3. YubiK

No matter how much we cleaned it water tastes funny. Also there is no way to wash and dry this, is moist inside the bag and straw part and will get mold or something.
Everything else is perfect but I’m worried about bacteria growth

  4. G-Kay

I run 6 miles a day and this Hydration pack was very comfortable on the very first use. Also the water lung was easy to assemble and connect to the pack and doesn’t leak. And the backpack is very lite weight material and fits snug when putting other items inside the large pockets. The should straps are adjustable and will need to be adjusted by chest and torso belt/harness. I will recommend this product and it is worth the price.

  5. D.L.

I have expensive camel paks & needed to get some for visitors to use. I purchased 2 of these for them & I was surprised that they are good bladders the backpack part is basic. I would definitely buy these again! They arrive quickly & are well worth every penny.♥️

  6. CoolRays

I like to run hands free and this hydration pack was perfect for me. I can use the pipe to sip water when I need hydration and am seeing improvement in my overall performance. Highly recommend if you are training.

  7. John McAndrew

I like the pockets, the build quality, and the size. An I like the cover on the end of the hose, because it keeps it clean.

  8. anoopster

Needed a cheap hydration only pack for an obstacle race that I was coerced into joining. Does its job well.
    Pro’s:
    – 2 zippered pouches on sides are pretty roomy. I don’t need all the space but it’s a good place for a cell phone and some money and an ID.
    – mesh pouch on the outside is nice to have but I’m not sure if you can really put a helmet in it.
    – reasonably padded and vented on back
    – 2L is pretty good size but pretty heavy when full
    – bite valve and shut off valve work well and bite valve comes off for easy cleaning.

    Con’s:
    – Shoulder straps are made of a thin breathable material which I’m not sure how long it will last. Working out so far so good after a couple of runs.
    – bladder has a terrible taste to it. The only way around it is to keep it clean and dry until just before use and filling it only just before you use it. Cold water works the best so once water sits in it for a couple of hours and warms up, it tastes horrible. Also, you need to carefully close the refill opening since it easily cross-threads.
    – Tubing seems to always get in the way. The bite valve will drag on the ground if you’re doing burpees or pushups. I’m tempted to cut it to shorten it.
    – I’m not a fan of the waste/belly strap. Not very comfortable and would have liked it if you could detach it. For now, I wrap it around the front and it seems to stay out of the way.
